“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” ―Muhammad Ali
How did she/he propose?
Obarine proposed on a business trip in San Jose, CA in front of about a thousand of his business partners. I actually recorded my own engagement without knowing what was about to happen. It was so beautiful and I will always have the memories to play for ever.
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day?
The most memorable moments from the wedding was hearing our wedding vowels from each other. Also, seeing how happy and excited we were to finally share our union with friends and family.
Obarine and I first met during our middle school years at a neighborhood basketball court. We would occasionally see each other for years and would simply say “hello” to one another. Upon graduating from high school, we exchanged numbers, however we never called each other. In 2009, while in Miami, we spotted each other and officially planned our first date once we arrived back in Baltimore. We have been inseparable from that moment moving forward.
Please describe any special details about your wedding dress and/or rings.
My wedding dresses were a hit. That’s right, dresses. I loved the sparkly detail in them. They fit perfectly and highlighted my sexy, classy, and bold personality. The red dress was a show stopper, mainly because I had hidden it from everyone except Obarine.
What I love best about Obarine is that he is loves the lord. God is at the foundation of our relationship and our religious practices keeps us grounded. He loves to love and his heart is as beautiful as mine. Obarine pushes me to become a better woman. He is extremely hard working and he does his best to make me be happy. What I love best about Nicquetta is that she is a beautiful person both inward and outward. She keeps me on my toes but also keeps me smiling daily. She cannot go a day without picking at me just to get me to laugh. She is my rock and the biggest support system I have ever had.
